New Summer Menu

Have you tasted our new delicious Summer Menu yet?

It will be starting on Monday 27th May

 

Well if you haven't you are missing out on some truly amazing homemade food.

 

Dishes like our Rack of BBQ Short Back Rib, sticky sweet sauce, meat so tender it's dropping of the bone. Another dish is our Smoked Haddock Folentine, served on some awesome fresh traditionally baked soda bread made locally by Patrick our Irish baker.

 

Another new bit is our Milkshakes, we have three flavours and they are, Chunky Monkey with fresh banana, Strawberry with fresh British strawberries and Tiramisu with Amaretto syrup and a shot of espresso coffee.

The Kids Menu is also getting some new scrummy things like a mini version of the ribs served with wedges and corn on the cob.

Well folks the results are in for this years Worcestershire Welcome Awards.

 

We were awarded with a Highly Commended place in the 'Tastes of Worcestershire' category and Commended in 'Outstanding Customer Service'.

 

As Highly Commended in the 'Tastes of Worcestershire' Award, you will be shortlisted to represent Worcestershire in VisitEngland's national Awards for Excellence in Tourism 'Taste of England' category.

 

A huge thank you to all who voted for us and a special thanks for supporting us and being such great customers.

*NEW* Larger Salad Boxes

Come in and try our new range of delicious salad boxes. They are freshly prepared at the cafe and include loads of fresh local ingredients. You can have them to eat in or if you are in a hurry then take them away. They are served in wonderful eco-friendly bio boxes. All only £4.00 a go!!

 

Our newest 'flavours' are:

Smoked mackerel orange & watercress cous cous with a citrus dressing.

 

Rosemary roasted Worcestershire beetroot with English goats cheese, tomato, salad leaves & balsamic dressing.
 
Torn smoked chicken with salad leaves, roasted red pepper, toasted pistachios, tomatoes, cucumber, black olives, oregano & Dijon dressing. (My fav!)

Hook, Line & Sinker!

Our Skipjack tuna is now all pole and line caught, which is a more sustainable way of fishing. There is no by-catch, meaning that other species of fish, dolphins and turtles can carry on living. Great food responsibly served.

The cafe, which is set within the stunning 100 acres of woodland and meadows that make up the award-winning Worcester Woods Country Park. The Orchard Cafe has a fantastic seasonal menu created from, wherever possible, organic, local sourced, sustainable and Fair Trade ingredients. There is a great range of delicious food available all day from menu, a new range of Hot Wraps and the return of some very popular dishes and now a new range of vegetarian dishes to choose from, not forgetting your old favourites, freshly made soups and pasta and homemade cakes, including the Megalicious Chocolate Cake and Orchard's legendary Carrot Cake.

All tea, coffee, hot chocolate and sugar is Fair-trade, while the cafe also has locally-sourced, organic, free-range sausages and sweet-cured bacon from the butcher of the year 08/09 Checketts of Ombersley.

The Orchard Cafe aims to promote its business, and the Worcester Countryside Centre, as being leaders in good ethical and eco-friendly practices, providing products of the highest possible quality.
It does this by continually working to find new products and ways to minimise its footprint on the environment. The Orchard Cafe also caters for corporate events, and has three large meeting rooms that can be hired out through the Worcester Countryside Centre. The centre boasts quiet surroundings and the landscaped Worcestershire Garden, and is an ideal place for a conference.
There are excellent facilities for all ages at the countryside centre, with a great children's play area and marked walks around the surrounding woodland. The cafe also boasts a sun terrace which, in the summer months, plays host to outdoor barbecues and picnics.
