The cafe, which is set within the stunning 100 acres of woodland and meadows that make up the award-winning Worcester Woods Country Park. The Orchard Cafe has a fantastic seasonal menu created from, wherever possible, organic, local sourced, sustainable and Fair Trade ingredients. There is a great range of delicious food available all day from menu, a new range of Hot Wraps and the return of some very popular dishes and now a new range of vegetarian dishes to choose from, not forgetting your old favourites, freshly made soups and pasta and homemade cakes, including the Megalicious Chocolate Cake and Orchard's legendary Carrot Cake.
All tea, coffee, hot chocolate and sugar is Fair-trade, while the cafe also has locally-sourced, organic, free-range sausages and sweet-cured bacon from the butcher of the year 08/09 Checketts of Ombersley.
The Orchard Cafe aims to promote its business, and the Worcester Countryside Centre, as being leaders in good ethical and eco-friendly practices, providing products of the highest possible quality.
It does this by continually working to find new products and ways to minimise its footprint on the environment. The Orchard Cafe also caters for corporate events, and has three large meeting rooms that can be hired out through the Worcester Countryside Centre. The centre boasts quiet surroundings and the landscaped Worcestershire Garden, and is an ideal place for a conference.
There are excellent facilities for all ages at the countryside centre, with a great children's play area and marked walks around the surrounding woodland. The cafe also boasts a sun terrace which, in the summer months, plays host to outdoor barbecues and picnics.
